In real life, no such transformers exist. This situation has left researchers in robotics two choices; they can wait for Optimus Prime to show up and save the day or figure out how to make real-world transformers all on their own.

In the animated canon, Cybertron and its people were created by the species of vicious interstellar arms dealers known as the Quintessons. The Cybertronians were initially built to be products, not people - the Autobots were created as slave laborers, while the Decepticons were intended to be living weapons of war.

Megatron Megatron was obsessed with conquering Earth in every Transformers movie. Although he's been defeated every time, his defeats speak more about his opponent's strength rather than his weakness. He might be evil, but he does have the power to pursue and achieve his goals as the leader of the Decepticons.

Five years after defeating Sentinel Prime and Megatron in Chicago, the Autobots have gone into hiding after the government deemed all Transformers as threats, and thus, began to hunt them all down. The government have thus replaced the Autobots with their own Transformers using technology from the fallen Transformers.

Lockdown Though Harold Attinger was the main villain, Lockdown did most of the action and was far more threatening towards the Autobots and their human allies than Attinger. It is unknown how Lockdown discovered the Creators.
