When the meter is connected to a computer or when using the AC adapter, Battery Charging appears on the display to indicate that the battery is charging.

What it means: Error message could be caused either by a used test strip or a problem with the meter or test strip. Error 2, sub-code 1 can be caused by inserting a test strip which has already been used. Error 2, sub-code 2 can be caused by the test strips being stored incorrectly.

Your OneTouch Verio IQ® meter uses a rechargeable battery. When fully charged, the meter will perform blood glucose or control solution tests for about 1 to 2 weeks before recharging is needed.

LifeScan is recalling and replacing all OneTouch® Verio®IQ Meters because at extremely high blood glucose levels of 1024 mg/dL and above, the meter will not provide a warning that the blood glucose is extremely high and will shut off, thereby potentially leading to incorrect treatment and delaying proper treatment.

Not enough blood or control solution was applied or more was added after the meter began to count down. The test strip may have been damaged or moved during testing. The sample was improperly applied. There may be a problem with the meter.

What it means: Error message could be caused by a used test strip, applying blood to the test strip before inserting it into the meter or a problem with the meter or test strip.
