2009. What was a thing? Our tagline. “I put that $#!t on everything” comes out of sweet, ol' Ethel's lips and jolts people out of their comfort zones, never to return again.

You can totally taste the cayenne red peppers and distilled vinegar, but the mix of ingredients really creates an overall balanced flavor. Frank's RedHot Original sauce has a very small number of ingredients- Aged Cayenne Red Peppers, Distilled Vinegar, Water, Salt, and Garlic Powder.

Pretty much like any other mild-to-medium hot sauce. A bit more jalopeno forward. Some vinegar. Shrug.

To put it simply, Frank's RedHot Sauce has a Scoville rating around 450 SHUs, while the XTRA Hot variant comes in around 2,000 SHUs. This puts Frank's in the perfect range for use in everyday dishes. If you're looking for an extra spicy sauce, this may not be the best option at the supermarket.

In 1917, owner Jacob Frank contracted for the Estilette Pepper Farm in Louisiana where Adam Estilette and Frank became business partners. They mixed spices, vinegar, garlic and cayenne peppers and aged them, creating the original blend of Frank's RedHot, which entered the market in 1920.

The brand's new tagline, “Light Things Up,” guides the new visual system. Tabasco sauces are generally less hot than other hot sauces, but the bright flavors with just a bit of heat complement various foods.

Frank's is made from cayenne peppers, while Tabasco (original variety) is made from Tabasco peppers. In addition, Frank's contains garlic powder and "natural flavor." The result is that Frank's is a much more flavorful sauce, which is why it's the traditional ingredient in buffalo wings.

And then dumped on the conveying belt and if you notice there's a couple of spinning drums. There those are washing units. That's put through there so we can wash. And get the dirt off the peppers.

Tabasco is certainly much hotter, but I disagree with other answers saying Tabasco has no flavor besides heat. To my taste, it has a distinctive oaky flavor. Frank's is more tangy than hot and is the traditional sauce for Buffalo wings. In my opinion, they're both delicious, although Frank's is easier to please.

Frank's RedHot is a hot sauce made from a variety of cayenne peppers, produced by McCormick & Company. The Original blend ranks low on the Scoville scale, with 450 SHUs, but the XTRA Hot variety measures 2,000 SHUs.

Both Frank's and Tabasco make a fine product. Tabasco is hotter than Franks with a heavy dose of vinegar. Frank's if often preferred for things like chicken wings where it is less hot and (some people claim) it has more flavor than Tabasco.

When HOT just won't cut it, Frank's RedHot Xtra Hot Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce is what you need for the FIRE. Four times the heat of Original RedHot, it's made with a savory, extra hot blend of aged cayenne peppers for a heat you can feel and a taste you'll love.
