History. Grave Digger was originally built in 1982 by Dennis Anderson as a mud bogger. This first truck was assembled from salvaged parts, including the body of a red 1952 Ford pickup truck.

The trucks race along a prescribed course with the first advancing in the competition. Winners advance until only two trucks remain with the finals determining the racing champion. Racing may be preceded by qualifying to establish brackets.

Speed of the run will be the determining factor for awarding points. Trucks that bowed out in Round One will get points based on their speed performance with the fastest of the six losing trucks getting 6 points and the points going down to 1. The trucks eliminated in the second round will get 7 - 10 points.

Monster Jam is a live motorsport event tour operated by Feld Entertainment. The series began in 1992, and is sanctioned under the umbrella of the United States Hot Rod Association. Events are primarily held in North America, with some additional events in other countries.

Krysten Anderson Krysten Anderson (born May 16, 1997) is an American professional monster truck driver. Anderson currently drives Grave Digger on the Monster Jam circuit and is the first female driver for the team. She is the daughter of Grave Digger creator Dennis Anderson.
