Jones and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce star in a new series of commercials for DirecTV. Kelce is the “Overly Direct Sports Person” for DirecTV and he delivers some blunt advice for football fans in a harsh manner. Jones co-stars in the commercials.

Last year, DirectTV crossed the streams between MLB and the Ghostbusters, launching an ad campaign that starred baseball legends Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Ken Griffey Jr., and Randy Johnson, advertising the media giant's streaming service.

In 2022, Johnson appeared with his former teammates Ken Griffey Jr. and Alex Rodriguez as well as Hall of Famer David Ortiz in a commercial for the streaming service DirecTV Stream parodying Ghostbusters, as the group (titled Goatbusters) battles a giant Mr. Redlegs destroying a baseball stadium.

To help spread the word, the brand has enlisted the help of four of MLB's biggest names: Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Ken Griffey Jr and Randy Johnson.
