Fireline is the BEST thread for beadweaving, I could not do my work without you. #3 is perfect for the tiniest seed beads, while #4 is strong enough to weave big "peyote baskets".

braided line Berkley FireLine Ultra 8 Superline is a braided line, but it's different than most. Unlike most traditional four-carrier braids, Berkley fused an eight-carrier Dyneema fiber braid.

FIRELINE: This is a microfused, braided bead thread consisting of Dyneema, a gel-spun polyethylene which is known as the strongest fiber, per diameter, ever created. It has an unbelievably high tensile strength and has been recommended in numerous how-to articles on beadworking.

Fireline beading thread has an unbelievably high tensile strength and is made from polyethylene, one of the strongest fibers ever made. It is a favorite of many beaders who create intricate designs requiring multiple passes. It is durable and feels and works better than many other stringing materials.

The FireLine fibers are braided, then coated with a thermally applied bond. The thread has very little stretch and a smooth appearance. It flattens a bit when pushed, can be knotted and is not easily pierced by a needle. It is waterproof, colorfast.

If price is no option and you want a good all-around line, go with fluorocarbon. If you want forgiving line that won't break the bank, go with monofilament. If you intend to fish heavy cover, go with braid.

• Daiwa Tournament Monofil. Best line for casting as it has very low memory.
• Daiwa Sensor. More stretchy than the Tournament Monofilament above but has higher abrasion resistance.
• Utima F1. Bog standard line that does the job.
• Sufix Tritanium. Abrasion resistance is great.
