The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, a children movie starring Tom Kenny, Awkwafina, and Clancy Brown is available to stream now. Watch it on Paramount Plus, The Roku Channel, ROW8, Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu or Redbox.

Sponge on the Run's plot felt less like that of a movie's and more like a poorly-written sketch comedy show. Scenes felt only loosely connected by the quest plotline of finding Gary - ripped off almost directly from the first SpongeBob movie where SpongeBob and Patrick went on a quest to find King Neptune's crown.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run was released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 2, 2021 in Canada. In the U.S., the film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 13, 2021.

The animation is great and has given the upgrade for the movie. In fact, much better quality than Kamp Koral. And it does have some decent charm from the show. The problem with this is the story often recycles elements from Spongebob episodes.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is now available to watch on Netflix, excluding the US, Canada and China. US audiences will be able to watch it on premium digital rental services and streaming service CBS AllAccess from early 2021.
