James has been an evangelist for over 50 years and has authored or co-authored many books including God of All Creation, Indivisible, True Prosperity and Soul of a Nation. James and Betty reside in Texas and have been married for more than five decades. They have three children and 11 grandchildren.

Professional career

On May 17, 1999, Betty Robinson died. She was 87. She had been diagnosed with cancer and had been struggling with Alzheimer's for a few years. She was a trailblazer for women's sport, though she never saw herself that way.

James and Betty have three children and 11 grandchildren, and reside in Fort Worth, where their program LIFE Today and their ministry LIFE Outreach are based.

Robinson was born and grew up in Rockford, Illinois. He attended Rockford Lutheran High School, where he played basketball and football. As a senior, he rushed 2,461 yards and 44 touchdowns and was named Class 4A All-State. Robinson set IHSA career records with 9,045 rushing yards and 158 rushing touchdowns.

In 1939, she married Richard S. Schwartz, who owned an upholstery firm. They had two children. Besides her son, she is survived by her daughter, Jane Hamilton of Denver, and three grandchildren.
