The bout took place on 20 May 2023 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight ended in a controversial unanimous decision win for Haney.

Joe Tessitore will call the action ringside with analysts Andre Ward, a Hall of Famer and 2004 U.S. Olympic gold medalist, and Timothy Bradley Jr., a Class of 2023 Hall of Famer.

The Haney-Lomachenko fight card broadcast will begin on ESPN+ PPV at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday. The undercard broadcast will start at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and the early prelims on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. ET.

The Haney vs. Lomachenko main card will air on ESPN+ PPV in the U.S., Sky Sports in the U.K., and Main Event on Kayo in Australia.

Lomachenko dominated the latter rounds and outpunched Haney, 124-110. But much to the dismay of the 14,436 fans in attendance, all three judges had Haney winning. Tim Cheatham and David Sutherland scored the fight 115-113, while Dave Moretti had it 116-112. Lomachenko's manager said they plan to appeal the decision.

The scores were 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113 for Haney. The fight had controversy in the aftermath, as many observers felt Lomachenko had done enough to pull out a close win of seven rounds to five.

Nakatani, 25, is unbeaten at 24-0 so far in his career with 18 knockouts. He's coming off his toughest test to date against Francisco Rodriguez Jr.

Vasiliy Lomachenko odds. Haney started off as a solid betting favorite, and the money has continued to come in on him. As of Friday, Haney is a -280 favorite (bet $280 to win $100), while Lomachenko is the +250 underdog (win $250 on a $100 wager).

The fight will be televised as the main event on an ESPN+ pay-per-view. Haney and Lomachenko's fight is set to begin around 8 p.m. PT, although that time could change depending on how long the undercard fights take. Haney versus Lomachenko will cost $59.99 for ESPN+ subscribers.

Haney's guaranteed purse was $4 million to Lomachenko's $3 million.
