Goodgame Empire is a free-to-play browser real-time strategy game developed by Goodgame Studios. Players build their own castle, create a powerful army, and then take part in player-vs-player (PvP) battles.

Goodgame Studios is an online games company founded in 2009 by Kai Wawrzinek, Christian Wawrzinek and Fabian Ritter. The company is based in Hamburg, Germany, and part of the Stillfront Group since 2018.

Hamburg-based Goodgame Studios' flagship browser and mobile strategy game Goodgame Empire: Four Kingdoms has surpassed more than $800 million in lifetime revenues. The company claimed the milestone made it Germany's “most successful game of all time” as it nears the $1 billion mark.

GoodGame Empire is a game (and adware) that downloads not only an application for the game, but also installs a web extension, add-ons, and browser helper objects in browsers like Chrome and Firefox.
