Elsa, princess of Arendelle and heiress to the throne, is born with the ability to create and control ice and snow. As a child, she uses her abilities to create a winter wonderland to play in with her younger sister and best friend, Princess Anna. One night, Elsa accidentally harms Anna with her powers.

poised and dutiful yet moody and somewhat insecure. As the future queen, Elsa was raised to think of others first, especially after her powers proved to be potentially harmful. Without being comfortable to show her emotions, she bottled up her anger and insecurities.

Samantha Barks Samantha Barks plays Elsa and created the role of Elsa for the London production.

At 21 years of age in the original film and 24 in the sequel, Elsa is a beautiful young woman, has a tall and slender build, blue eyes, rosy cheeks, thin pink lips, a small nose, long, platinum-blonde hair, and pale skin with a light dusting of freckles (a trait she shares with her sister Anna, though less prominent).

Elsa had the power to create snow and ice, and Anna was one of the few individuals who knew about it. Elsa flooded an empty ballroom with snow one night to allow the sisters to play together. Elsa lost control during the game and inadvertently struck Anna with a blast of cold power. Anna was seriously injured.

Elsa's goal is to learn the truth of who she is and to make her peace with it, no longer denying her magical abilities or trying to shove them down out of fear.

Best: Diplomatic Elsa is one of the few Disney Queens who even touches on anything resembling policy. She's diplomatic with the Duke of Weselton, convincing him to dance with Anna instead of herself, and later refusing his trade agreements.

She is a very beautiful, kind, generous and a nice queen from the kingdom of Arendele. She has this magical ability to control ice and snow. Elsa also has a younger sister named Anna. When Elsa and Anna were small their parents died in a storm at sea.

24 In the first Frozen movie, Elsa's age was 21, while Anna was 18. Considering Frozen revolved around Elsa's coronation, it's refreshing to see that Arendelle waited until she was a more appropriate age to receive the queen title. Frozen II occurred after a 3-year time jump, with Elsa now 24 and Anna 21.

She clearly cares for the people and works hard to make sure everyone has a good time. She runs away to avoid hurting others, even when the only one she's hurting is herself.
