Outstanding series concerning story, characters, drama, animation and music. A great mix of serious and funny , calm and action as well as of sad and heartwarming scenes. I liked every Fate-series, but this by far the best until today. Absolute must-watch: 10 / 10 stars!
Voluminous Original Story
The main story of Fate/Grand Order was written by creator Kinoko Nasu and other authors of the Fate series, and boasts a word count in excess of five million. Returning to the Fate series's roots, the story is told in the form of a visual novel.
Grand Order has nothing to do with Fate/stay night. Watch whatever you would like from Fate/stay night or Grand Order. I would recommend you watching first ufotable adaptation of the “Unlimited Blade Works” route (if you don't want to read the visual novel) and skip studio deen adaptation.

Shirou Emiya
Shirou Emiya (Japanese: 衛宮 士郎, Hepburn: Emiya Shirō), also written as "Shiro Emiya" in Fate/unlimited codes, is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the 2004 visual novel Fate/stay night, published by Type-Moon.
Anime. The original Fate/stay night anime series aired between January 7 and June 17, 2006, containing 24 episodes; the storyline follows mainly the Fate scenario but shows parts of other scenarios.
There will always be new Fate anime series. Fate/Zero finished it's story so there will be no more. It however has the Einzbern's Consultation room, but that has completed too. Same with Unlimited Blade Works, that story has reached it's completion so no more of that.
The story and characters are attractive to the fans
Also, one of the main features of the Fate series is the fact that the characters are real historical heroes and mythical creatures, which makes the game more interesting in my opinion.
