The FreeStyle Freedom Lite meter displays results from 20 mg/dL to 500 mg/dL (1.1 mmol/L to 27.8 mmol/L). If your test result is lower than 20 mg/dL (1.1 mmol/L), LO will appear on the meter display screen. This reading indicates severe hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose).

To turn off Optional Alarms*, go to Menu -> Alarms -> (select the alarm you want to turn OFF) -> Toggle to OFF -> Done. The Urgent Low Glucose Alarm is mandatory and cannot be turned OFF. Notifications will only be received when alarms are turned on and the sensor is within 20 feet unobstructed of the reading device.

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) generally recommends the following target blood sugar levels: Between 80 and 130 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) or 4.4 to 7.2 millimoles per liter (mmol/L) before meals. Less than 180 mg/dL (10.0 mmol/L) two hours after meals.

Normal Results If you had a fasting blood glucose test, a level between 70 and 100 mg/dL (3.9 and 5.6 mmol/L) is considered normal. If you had a random blood glucose test, a normal result depends on when you last ate. Most of the time, the blood glucose level will be 125 mg/dL (6.9 mmol/L) or lower.

In several studies, only six brands passed that test for accuracy, and Abbott's FreeStyle Lite strips were one of those, hitting that mark 96 percent of the time. It's important to note that real-life experience with test strip accuracy can vary.

Check your blood sugar level with your meter at the same time that blood is drawn for lab tests, being sure to use a fingerstick sample, not blood from the blood draw. Then compare your meter's reading with the lab results. Results that are within 15% of the lab reading are considered accurate.

This meter uses a replaceable 3-volt lithium battery, which is labeled to last for roughly 500 tests.

Once your alarm is set press the lower right hand button now the alarm time is set and in order to turn on or off the alarm make sure you are on the alarm page. But you are not in the time setting
