Dolores Janney "Jenni" Rivera was a Mexican-American actress, singer-songwriter, T.V. producer, spokesperson, philanthropist & entrepreneur known for her work within the banda and norteña music genres. Her family introduced her to traditional Mexican music, including the genres of banda, norteña, and ranchera. Rivera earned straight A's in school until her sophomore year, when at 15 she became pregnant with the first of her five children, Janney "Chiquis" Marín-Rivera.

Up until then, Chiquis had served as La Diva de la Banda's right-hand woman in the multi-million dollar empire known as Jenni Rivera Enterprises.

Upon boarding the plane, Yebale posted on Instagram what turned out to be the last photo of the singer alive. "We getting Back To Mexico City..... jenni Rivera ,Arturo , Gigi and Me.. Los Amooo!," he wrote in the caption.
