The Pioneer Woman magazine began as a blog in 2006, started by wife and mom of four Ree Drummond as a place to post family musings, home recipes and to share her life on a ranch in rural northeast Oklahoma. Over a decade later, the blog has expanded to become a brand and movement.

By creating content for a ready-made audience, the magazine has secured a definite advantage over their competitors in a crowded marketplace. With over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and almost a million on Twitter, she is a successful brand in her own right.

The Pioneer Woman is a US cooking show that airs on Food Network. It is presented by Ree Drummond. The series features Drummond cooking for her family and friends, primarily at her ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The title of the series is taken from Drummond's blog of the same name.
