The recipe has not changed since its creation and continues to be served in its signature green glass bottle. The name "Jägermeister" was well-known in his native town of Wolfenbüttel due to its centuries-old hunting tradition and the Hubertus legend. But Curt Mast liked the name not only because he was a hunter. It also appealed to his target audience.
