University of Maryland University College (hereinafter, the "University") has changed its name and will now be known as University of Maryland Global Campus, effective July 1, 2019.

UMD is a separate institution entirely. Both are part of the University System of Maryland, but they have 0 overlap. Also, UMGC does have on-site and hybrid classes, so it isn't 100% an online school.
