In a nutshell - 9/10 times Homewood will beat Hampton -- in amenities and price. So you need to decide if the extras are worth the extra $$. Homewood is probably my favorite type of property right now. A newer Homewood can be very nice.

In the past, these brands - along with Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, Hilton Grand Vacations and Motto - have been ineligible for elite upgrades. But again, these upgrades are processed at the hotel's discretion.
