Batman is one of the cornerstone members of DC's premiere superhero team, the Justice League. He was a founding member, is considered one of the team's most analytical thinkers, and is undoubtedly one of their best fighters in terms of raw hand-to-hand fighting skills.

Batman protects Gotham City, he is the caped crusader of the night. Batman puts away criminals that seek to do harm against innocent people. This makes Batman incredibly important to the people of Gotham, and sometimes, even the world.

It wasn't Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman who created the Justice League, but there's a great reason why you've never heard of the hero who did form DC's most famous team.

writer Gardner Fox The team first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #28 (March 1960). The team was conceived by writer Gardner Fox as a revival of the Justice Society of America, a similar team from DC Comics from the 1940s which had been pulled out of print due to a decline in sales.

The Justice League of America was created in 1960 but was based on the Justice Society of America. The JSA, which ran in “All-Star Comics” from 1940 to 1951, was the first superhero team in comic books. (“Society” was changed to “League,” because baseball.)

Batman, as a leader, is always prepared and adaptable to any challenge that comes his way. He is highly trained and always ready for action, both physically and mentally. He has contingency plans for any scenario, and his gadgets and technology are always updated to match the ever-changing threats he faces.

Zack Snyder's Justice League shows him dealing with the entire Justice League without so much as breaking a sweat before subduing Steppenwolf in a one-on-one match. There is no contest here; Superman is the most powerful character in the DCEU.

Because his struggles are more relatable, Batman is the more relevant hero to most audiences. This has ultimately made his films resonate more strongly with audiences, and thus has made the character more successful on camera.

Batman's moral code, courage, sense of justice, temperance, and code of ethics, not only do they make him the perfect representation of Stoicism in the pop-culture but also sets an example for all his fans and readers.
