Although there are only a few small scenes added, it's a wonder how much of a difference these brief moments can make in the greater context of the film. The Ultimate Edition shows more scenes of Superman rescuing people, as well as giving more context for his actions.

It didn't help that the characterization of Batman is incredibly jarring, watching Superman do anything was like watching paint dry, Lex Luthor was annoying, the movie feels like a huge ad for Justice League, and overall the writing in general was laughable.

The pacing is perfect and this movie is much more balanced between superman and batman compared to the theatrical cut. Many of those additional 30 minutes are Clark Kent scenes that was cut. The desert scene in this version is also different and the movie makes much more sense. I really think this is a great movie.

Many people don't like Batman v Superman because it is an undeniably political movie and it never attempts to hide it. The movie directly states “Every act on this Earth is a political act” and it sticks to that credo.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice In this version, the Batcave is not located directly underneath Wayne Manor, but was originally in the woods on the manor's outskirts, with Bruce discovering the cave when he fell into them after running away during his parents' funeral.

The cave was connected by a secret stairway to the entrance which was concealed in Wayne Manor. The Batcave was still an underground shelter where the Bat-vehicles were kept, but Bruce also moved his secret laboratory and the gym from Wayne Manor to the Batcave.

There are two cuts: the theatrical (rated G), and the director's (rated PG). The director's cut has language, while I don't recall any in the theatrical (which is also shorter). This is a wonderful film.

There is a lot of intense violence in Batman v Superman. For example: In flashback scenes a young boy sees his parents shot. The scenes include images of the father and mother lying on the ground dying, as well as sounds of the young boy screaming.

Compared to Man of Steel, where it's based only on Superman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice doesn't have quite that much amount of action, but we have much more at stake and the tension which increases from the beginning until the end fits perfectly the plot.

What makes Batman the most remarkable and relatable superhero is that he is complicated, just like all members of humanity. Instead of being a superhero to admire, Batman is a superhero that inspires because he teaches audiences that it doesn't take a perfect person to do good things.

Batman's heroism is defined by his determination, commitment, and resourcefulness. The 'Dead Parents' trope is nothing new in storytelling, true, but – in comic book terms at least – Batman did it first, and best.
