In April 2022, the Ioniq 5 received a larger battery for the European market. The previous 72.6 kWh battery was replaced with a 77.4 kWh battery with an increased power output by 8 kW (11 PS; 11 hp) to 168 kW (228 PS; 225 hp), while the entry-level 58 kWh battery option remains.
