It all started back in 1968 when Gary Holzapfel noticed that when his buddies' race engines would fail, it was usually because a fastener gave up. Having experience in the aerospace industry, where fastener failure will kill you dead, he founded ARP, and the rest is history.

We were invited to tour several of ARP's facilities in Ventura and Santa Paula, California, where it manufactures every fastener. Each stud and bolt is forged, washed, hardened, washed again, tempered, and milled before the threads are rolled.
