Japan Little did we realize what impact the series would have in Japan and around the world. Gizmo is the tritagonist of the first Superbook series. Superbook (Anime Oyako Gekijo), begins at the home of a young boy named Christopher "Chris" Peeper, who discovers the ancient Bible named Superbook that can speak and send him, his friend Joy and his clockwork toy figure named Gizmo the Crusader Robot back in time during the events of the Old and New Testaments.

Gizmo is the only known mogwai to not have a speck of hatred or evil in him, unlike his fellow mogwai who are often cruel, mean, abusive, and vicious, although he did have a bit of hatred when Mohawk kept bullying him and got revenge. This is because he is a Minority Mogwai, a mogwai that is kind and nice.

Randall "Rand" Peltzer is the father of Billy Peltzer and the husband of Lynn Peltzer, as well as the one who originally bought the mogwai, whom he later names Gizmo, from Mr. Wing's store in Chinatown.

It can be argued that VeggieTales episodes were driven more by biblical values than they were by actual biblical stories. Vischer lamented this in an interview.

VeggieTales Drops the Bible, God But NBC required the shows be removed of Scripture passages and certain references to God in order to, “reach as broad an audience as possible with these positive messages, while being careful not to advocate any one religious point of view.”

This is a very Biblical series for kids of all ages. It's funny, it teaches kids Bible lessons and Scriptures, and the songs are CLASSICS. They tell Bible stories inaccurately though, that's my only problem with the series.

In DC Comics, Gizmo is a 5-year-old evil genius who has his own fair share of crimes using technology.

And in the end, when Billy needs him the most, Gizmo risks his life to kill Stripe, the last gremlin standing. When Gizmo's owner, Mr. Wing (Keye Luke), comes to take Gizmo back at the end of the film, Gizmo speaks English, saying, "Bye, Billy."

The series stars Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber leading a variety of fruit and vegetable characters as they retell stories from the Bible and parody pop culture while also teaching life lessons according to a biblical world view.
