A: Suffix 832 does not sink. Suffix is just more neutrally buoyant because of the strand of GoreTex in it. Suffix just looks like it sinks because it will go just below the surface. KastKing is like most of the other polyethylene (Spectra) braids out there....they float.

While there are many benefits to using braided lines, being undetected by fish is not one of them. The braided line offers excellent strength for a thin diameter, casts extremely far, and also does not stretch.

Um why does it sink. So well firstly we have kevlar woven into the dynamo strands now kevlar is a very high dense material. Okay. And what that does it creates weights of the braid.

If you plan on fishing close to mangroves or docks for big snook or redfish, this is an ideal setup. I would recommend using anywhere between 30 and 50-lb braided line on a 3500-size spinning reel.

Across the board monofilament won for abrasion-resistance, but interestingly, the thinner the diameter of the braid, the less significant the difference was. For 20 pound test braid breaking strength dropped to 17.4 pounds on average, while mono maintained 19 pounds on average.
