There are numerous shadows, prophecies and revelations of Jesus in the Old Testament. A number of these shadows, prophecies and revelations prefigured Jesus as the promised Messiah, a prophet like Moses, a King, the Son of God, the Son of Man, the servant of the Lord as well as a high priest among many depictions.

The account of Jesus' first appearance in the Gospel of John (20:19–23; 21:13) shows similarity to the account in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 24:36–49), that it happened in Jerusalem in the evening of his resurrection from the dead.

The Bible's main character and hero is Jesus Christ. Although we don't see his name in every book, all 66 books point to him.

He backed up His words, teachings, and, most importantly, His authority by performing miracles. There are 35 recorded miracles in the New Testament, plus John 21:25 mentions that Jesus performed many many more. These miracles included healings, deliverances, and overcoming the powers of nature.
