After 16 years, the Nissan Frontier was redesigned for the 2022 model year. The 310-hp, 3.8-liter V6 engine and nine-speed automatic carry over. The V6 is smooth and punchy, and the transmission is slick. Fuel economy of 18 mpg overall is an improvement but not a standout, even compared with some full-sized pickups.
