The Yamaha YZ450F makes the most peak power at 58.5 horsepower, but it is only 0.07 horsepower stronger than the Husky, 0.2 horsepower better than the KTM 450SXF and 0.21 horsepower better than the Honda. The dyno numbers may be very close, but the cigar goes to the 2023 YZ450F because of its seamless power delivery. The 2023 rev limiter has been moved up 500 rpm, which allows for over-rev to 11,700 rpm. The only fly in the additional over-rev is that the YZ450F does not reach its peak horsepower until 9800 rpm.

54.4 hp 2023 Yamaha YZ450F Engine On our in-house dyno, the YZ450F produced 54.4 hp at 9,500 rpm and 32.7 lb. -ft. of torque at 7,200 rpm. With those figures, it makes the most peak horsepower and ranks fifth in maximum torque.
