What does Kawasaki mean? Shozo Kawasaki is the founder of the brand and the company was named Kawasaki after his family name . This is in keeping with the classic tradition of the Japanese names, “kawa”means river and “saki” means cape.

This symbol, a motif of the Japanese character kawa (river), has a long history. It first appeared in the 1870s, where it was used on the flags flown by the ships owned by the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard, the predecessor of Kawasaki Heavy Industries.

Kawa (川) means river, and saki (崎) means cape or promontory. So the name means “promontory by the river".

It's my friend's bike I used to ride and let me say it was the best in class 650 cc bike i rode. The engine feels powerful and amazing. And I think it's somewhat lightweight from other 600-700cc bikes. Overall it's an amazing bike and it's cheaper than other superbikes.
