An ordinary LEGO construction worker, thought to be the prophesied as "special", is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the LEGO universe into eternal stasis.

A collaboration between production houses from the United States, Australia, and Denmark, its story focuses on Emmet Brickowski (Pratt), an ordinary Lego minifigure who helps a resistance movement stop a tyrannical businessman (Ferrell) from gluing everything in the Lego world into his vision of perfection.

The First LEGO Movie is a 2009 slapstick comedy brickfilm by Jaron "Squashed Cat Productions" Andre. It follows a man who has great difficulty trying to move a cat from the path of an oncoming car. It is titled The First LEGO Movie because it is in the style of old silent films.
