As a piece of hardware, the DualSense is far superior to the current Xbox offerings. It's more comfortable, the buttons feel better, and features like adaptive triggers are revolutionary. Sony's precise, immersive haptics are on a different level compared to other controllers, which just rumble at varying intensities.

Alongside the controller itself, the box includes a carrying case with a pass-through window to allow for charging, a USB-C cable and a connector housing to secure it to the controller, plus two separate options for back paddles and two options for analog stick replacements.

The DualSense is significantly less expensive and is still a great controller, so most gamers will do fine without upgrading. If you're a bit more serious about gaming and like the idea of rear paddles, customizable buttons, and hot-swappable analog sticks, then the DualSense Edge is well worth the asking price.

The best PS5 controller for most players Despite its stick drift issues and lack of wider support, the DualSense is still one of the most innovative controllers ever made, and it has some excellent features. It's also available in a slew of colors now too.

The plastic parts on the PS5 are the casing and controller, plastic and rubber seemingly used on the analogue stick buttons and grip pad. The plastic used on the PS5 is likely HDPE (High Density polyethylene) which is a moulded thermoplastic.

DualSense integration in games like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima, and Demon's Souls adds a new level of immersion, allowing players to feel the tension and impact of in-game actions like drawing a bow or striking with a sword.

The only difference between dual sense and dual shock Playstation controllers is that the triggers get added analog and haptic feedback as well. For dual shock controllers, the only input that is analog is the joysticks. Dual sense also adds haptic feedback, which may make games more difficult or easier.
