The result is a stylish sports car that is both fun to drive and affordable.

The FR-S sits low to the ground, which provides its drivers with exceptional handling that is highly responsive to steering inputs.

Inside, the 2014 Scion FR-S features a sporty interior that emphasizes function over form. The front seats are comfortable and supportive, while the driver's seat has a low seating position that provides excellent visibility. The FR-S comes standard with an eight-speaker Pioneer touchscreen audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB port. Dual-zone climate control is also available as an option.

The 2014 Scion FR-S also features a sleek exterior that is sure to turn heads. The car's trademark "scorpion" badge is prominently displayed on its front grille, while the elongated hood, sloping roofline, and short rear deck give it a classic sports car profile. The FR-S is available in seven different colors, including Asphalt, Hot Lava, and Ultramarine.

Overall, the 2014 Scion FR-S is an excellent sports car that combines style, performance, and affordability. It is a fun-to-drive car that is sure to satisfy anyone who loves the thrill of the road.

About FR-S The first rear-wheel drive vehicle produced under the Scion brand, the FR-S was given form thanks to an engineering partnership with Subaru. A low and wide sports car incorporating a long hood and well-defined fenders, the Scion FR-S was accompanied by a performance-infused 2+2 passenger interior.

The 2014 Scion FR-S maintains one of the highest spots in our rankings, thanks to its sharp handling, well-equipped cabin, and impressive fuel economy. Still, its not the roomiest or most powerful car in its class.

Standard safety features on the 2014 Scion FR-S include antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.

All of the models (BRZ, FR-S, 86/GT86) are built in Subaru's plant in Gunma, Japan. There are a few pictures of the 86 and BRZ being built side by side. Yeah, there are Subaru stamps all over the FR-S too. ^This Subaru factory produces all the BRZ, FR-S, GT86/TOYOTA 86 in the world.

The now-defunct Scion brand was Toyota's 13-year attempt at shaking up its sales model and bringing in younger buyers. Scion launched in 2003 with no-haggle pricing, and options were limited to dealer-installed accessories.

Scion's two-door coupe pleases with its razor-sharp driving dynamics, refined engine and transmission, and handsome cabin. It's rather practical for a sports car as well, boasting good fuel economy, seating for up to four in a pinch, and solidreliability and safety ratings.

Buying a Used Scion FR-S

  • Bad Clutch Release Bearing. While Scion offered the FR-S with a six-speed automatic transmission, performance wasn't as strong.
  • Cracked Oil Drain Plug. It's always a good idea to have your oil changed by an experienced mechanic.
  • Bad Valve Springs.
  • Heavily Modified Models.

Sometimes, it's cheaper to buy new parts for them online than it is to buy used. Since they're made by Toyota, they're just as reliable. You can easily surpass 200k miles and the car will still run like new (I know from my 07 TC, which has about 210k atm).

Toyota Toyota, the parent company behind the Scion brand, had decided to discontinue this youth-focused nameplate in August 2016 and most of the Scion-branded models have been rebadged as Toyotas. The rear-drive FR-S (rebadged Toyota 86) is a drift-ready two-door coupe.

Very reliable and good on gas, and fun to drive at speeds under the speed limit. One of the best handling cars I've ever driven, on par with cars that cost twice as much. Definitely would recommend to someone wanting a sporty daily or a fun handling car. Also a great platform for modifications and originality.

It's freedom to take to the road knowing that your Scion will receive proper care by trained technicians using Genuine Toyota Parts, and that you'll receive roadside assistance should you need it during the coverage1period.

Considering they use the same engines and transmissions as their Toyota counterparts, factually their reliability should be the same. Knowing some people who owned them and Toyotas, the build quality on Scions can sometimes be worse in comparison to Toyotas.
