The Premium McWrap is McDonald's first permanent menu item to include sliced cucumbers and its first hand-held entrée to include fresh spring mix. Varieties range from 360 to 600 calories depending on customer's choice of grilled or crispy chicken.

The McWrap is a 10-inch, white-flour tortilla wrapped around 3 ounces of chicken (grilled or “crispy”), lettuce, spring greens, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and cheddar jack cheese.

Instead, the main issue was the time it took workers to make Snack Wraps. Per Business Insider, the pressure from franchisees, who complained about the Snack Wraps slowing down production, plus the pressure to keep service times low, ultimately moved McDonald's to nix them from its national menu.

If you pick up the new wrap, expect to find crispy breaded chicken breast strips with Caesar mayonnaise, crispy onions, bacon and lettuce in a classic soft tortilla wrap. If breaded chicken's not your thing, then you can also grab the wrap with grilled chicken instead.

2006 First introduced in 2006, this small but mighty Mickey D's menu item had its fan base in a vice grip (me included). Unfortunately, it was discontinued back in 2016.

They were dropped from the menus at most U.S. locations in 2016, and then removed nationwide in 2020, although Snack Wraps are still available in Canada and the U.K.

Despite fan demand, McDonald's does not seem willing to return the item to its US menus. "At this time, there are no plans to bring Snack Wraps back to nationwide menus in the U.S.,” the brand told Food Network in Nov. 2022.
