On DIRECTV, NHL® CENTER ICE® games are broadcast on Ch. 769-785 and the NHL Network is on Ch. 215.

One weird word of warning: NHL Center Ice is available as an add-on for a regular DirecTV satellite subscription but not as an add-on to DirecTV Stream.

Two out-of-market options exist for NHL fans: ESPN+ and NHL Center Ice. Both allow you to watch over 1,000 out-of-market games, which don't air on local or national TV. NHL Center Ice ($69.99 a season) is an add-on you can purchase through most cable and satellite TV providers.

Unfortunately, you can no longer stream NHL Center Ice through the NHL app. While NHL Center Ice previously included its streaming counterpart NHL.TV at no extra cost, that benefit no longer exists. Now you need a separate ESPN+ subscription to stream out-of-market NHL games.

What's the difference between NHL Center Ice and NHL TV? NHL.TV was the out-of-market streaming counterpart to NHL Center Ice in the U.S. But since ESPN+ now streams out-of-market NHL games, NHL.TV is no longer available for U.S.-based subscribers.

NHL Center Ice ($69.99 a season) is an add-on you can purchase through most cable and satellite TV providers. However, for $40.00 more a year, ESPN+ ($109.99 a year) has 50 exclusive games and many other live sports.

During the NHL season, the NHL Network™ (Ch. 215) is included in your subscription to NHL CENTER ICE. In the off-season, you'll need to subscribe to a package that includes the NHL Network – Ultimate or above.

To get the out-of-market benefits of NHL Center Ice without cable in the U.S., you'll need a separate subscription to ESPN+. Viewers based in Canada will need a Sportsnet NOW Premium subscription, and anyone outside the U.S. or Canada will need an NHL.TV subscription.

NHL Center Ice is an out-of-market sports package distributed by most cable and satellite providers in the United States and Canada. The package allows its subscribers to see up to forty out-of-market National Hockey League games a week using local and national television networks.

NHL Centre Ice is a subscription package of regular season NHL games that are played outside of your local area. The games included in this package are in addition to those available through your local and regional networks.

If you truly want every live NHL game this season, you're better off skipping NHL Center Ice and signing up for ESPN+. That way, you'll get out-of-market access and those exclusive games all within a single streaming subscription. But you'll still need a separate TV plan for local and national coverage.

NHL Center Ice for $70 per season gives you up to 40 out-of-market games per week, making it an attractive option that, on the face of it, seems a fair bit cheaper than ESPN+. It even includes the NHL Network. Well, keep your stick on the ice, sports fan.
