WM cannot accept anything toxic or hazardous in Bagster Bags. This includes, but is not limited to, paint, oil, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, ballasts, appliances, electronics, food waste, railroad ties, tires, medical waste, pesticides, chemicals, Etc.

Single-use Bagster bags cost $30 up front to purchase. The collection fee is not included in the purchase price, and the cost varies depending on where you live. In most regions, it costs around $160 to pick up and empty a Bagster, but you will have to visit the WM website and enter your zip code to get an estimate.

They also want you to handle the recycling of tires, batteries, glass, metals, paper & plastic products, and light bulbs because they don't take it. They also will not allow you to load up yard waste (although they say Bagster is good for yard cleanups??)

Disposal of TV's and monitors amongst general waste is illegal as more often than not, they contain hazardous materials that cannot be disposed of in landfill.

Doubt three large sofas (the kind with three cushions) will fit in one bag. Probably one large sofa would fit, with room for a number of smaller items around sofa.

The center of your Bagster® bag must be placed on your yard or driveway no further than 5 yards (two Bagster® bag lengths) from the edge of the street, alley, or driveway.

Think About What You're Tossing Debris bags can hold a surprising amount of weight without ripping or tearing. However, since the walls of a dumpster bag are only two-and-a-half feet tall and they can't be picked up if debris obstructs the handles, they're not ideal for getting rid of bulky items like furniture.

Appliances like microwaves, refrigerators, and toaster ovens contain electronic components that become hazardous when not disposed of properly. Appliances often have batteries, screens and other electronic materials and chemicals in them that should not be put in a dumpster.

PLACEMENT RULES Your Bagster bag must not be placed under any wires, trees, or overhead structures that may obstruct collection or be damaged during collection. The Bagster bag truck needs at least 18 ft of vertical clearance to operate.

The Bagster hauler may charge extra or refuse to haul if you overfill the bag. If you have stone, concrete, or dirt, you can fill only 1/3rd of the bag. No item can exceed 4 feet in length. The Bagster costs $30 for the bag and you pay another $79 to $249 for the pick-up (average $140) for the hauling.

3. Trade your television in at an electronics retailers.
4. Return your television to the manufacturer.
5. Donate your working televisions to a local charity or second hand store.
