Budweiser has unveiled the 2022 World Cup song by Lil Baby 'The World Is Yours To Take'. Part of a global brand advertising campaign led by Wieden+Kennedy, the soundtrack re-imagines the iconic Tears for Fears' anthem 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World'.

Steve Karmen, a renowned jingle-writer, composed the original Budweiser music, for different lyrics, in 1970 and, later that year, Karmen's corporation, Elsmere Music, Inc. (“Elsmere”) entered into an agreement with Anheuser-Busch's advertising agency, D'Arcy, Masius Benton & Bowles, Inc.

Beer has been brewed in Budweis, Bohemia (now České Budějovice, Czech Republic) since it was founded in 1265. In 1876, Adolphus Busch and his friend Carl Conrad developed a "Bohemian-style" lager in the United States, inspired after a trip to Bohemia, and produced it in their brewery in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Budweiser lager that we all know today was inspired by a trip Adolphus Busch took to the Budweis region of the Czech Republic. Naturally, he named his beer after the region – Budweiser means “of Budweis”.

In 1876 Adolphus Busch stole the name Budweiser from the town of Ceske Budejovice – or 'Budweis' in German – and over the ensuing decades agreements were reached about who had the rights to the name in various parts of the world.
