The talking guide for Xfinity X1 is a Voice Guidance feature that allows customers with visual disabilities the freedom to independently explore thousands of TV shows and movies. It "speaks" what's on the screen and includes details such as program descriptions to help you decide what to watch.

To access the guide grid, press the Guide button on the remote control. To navigate up and down the channel listings in the guide: Use the up arrow and down arrow buttons to move one channel at a time. Use the Page Up and Page Down buttons to move several channels at a time.

Access the Settings Menu

1. Press the xfinity button on your remote.
2. Use the right arrow or left arrow button to select the gear icon.
3. Press OK (or center of directional pad) to go to the Settings menu.

How to turn off Google Assistant on your Android phone

Select a Guide View

1. On the remote, press the Guide button twice to access the Select Your Guide View window. Here you can filter your guide by your preferred set of channels.
2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to select your guide view and press OK. Choose from:

View Channel Information

1. To access the guide grid, press the Guide button on the remote control.
2. Navigate to the desired channel within the guide.
3. Use the left arrow to highlight the channel name/number/logo and press the OK button on the remote.

In general, Audio Description (AD) can be switched on or off by pressing the AD button on a TV Remote Control. However some TVs have a different label on the remote button, and others require AD to be switched on or off via the menu.

On the Preferences menu, highlight General, and press OK. On the General Preferences menu, use the up and down arrows to highlight Default Guide View, and press OK. Use the up and down arrows to select your preferred Default Guide View, and press OK.

How To Activate Your Xfinity Internet and Voice Services

1. Download the Xfinity app. Create your Xfinity ID and password.
2. Identify your device.
3. Place your gateway or modem.
4. Connect your gateway.
5. Name your WiFi network and create a password.
6. Wait for your gateway or modem to be ready.
7. Connect all your devices.
