Flex (RB/WR/TE): If this utility slot is selected, team managers have the option to start either a RB, WR or TE in it each week. There is no maximum number of starters at the Flex slot. Offensive Player Utility (OP): If this utility slot is selected, team managers have the option to start any offensive roster slot.

Team Quarterback (TQB) – This position is used to designate an entire team's quarterback position. This means that any player listed as a Quarterback on a team's NFL roster will get you fantasy points.

The superflex slot -- in ESPN leagues, it is listed as "OP" (offensive player) -- can be a QB, RB, WR or TE, which is different from the regular flex slot, which cannot be a QB.

His 25 rushing TDs over the last two years not only top all running backs, but his 13 receiving TDs over that span are also the most at the position.

Simply put, superflex leagues allow fantasy managers to start a second quarterback in a flex position. So, instead of being limited to flexing a back, wideout or tight end, you can choose to go with a second field general.

Personally, I prioritize drafting RBs over WRs. I especially think a team's rb1 is extremely advantageous at the flex (even if the team is not that good). As a result, I try to always get a flex rb in all my leagues.

From a certain perspective, yes it does involve a degree of luck. However, fantasy football is about building a lineup of players that are in the best positions to successfully perform in their matchups. As a fantasy player, there is nothing you can tangibly do to affect the performance of your team's lineup.

Also remember that you should pretty much always draft 2 TE's. The one exception is if you drafted one in the first 3 to 4 rounds. If you did this then it's ok to only take one…and if you want to draft a second…then wait until at least round 11 before doing so (and preferably take your second in rounds 13-15).

Again, superflex levels the playing field and makes quarterbacks as valuable in the fantasy world as they are to their actual franchises. So, if you want to add a new wrinkle to your fantasy league or just want to make the quarterbacks more valuable, switch to a superflex format.

Most teams will opt to play a second quarterback in that spot since QBs tend to score more fantasy points than other positions. That said, you don't necessarily have to play a QB there. If you happen to have a ton of elite running backs or receivers, you can absolutely use one in the superflex spot.
