If you look at the ingredient list on a carton of Lactaid milk, you'll see the ingredients are listed as milk (reduced fat, low-fat, or fat-free depending on how you like it), lactase enzyme, Vitamin A, and Vitamin D. So, yes, Lactaid is real milk and not dairy-free.

In cows, lactose is synthesized in the mammary gland from about 20% of the glucose in the bloodstream. It makes up an estimated 4.7% of the total nutrient content in a cow's milk, typically more by weight than even fat or protein (Costa et al., 2019).

In February 2014, MilkPEP announced that it would discontinue licensing the slogan for its advertising in favor of a new tagline named "Milk Life".
