*Milk-Bone® GnawBones® are currently manufactured in China from globally sourced ingredients. Although the vast majority of our Milk-Bone® products are made in the U.S., GnawBones® dog chews require manufacturing processes that are not currently feasible domestically.

Milk bones are not unhealthy for dogs, however, like all treats, it's suggested to give them in moderation. A lot of veterinarians stay stocked up on milk bones - and lots of dog-friendly shops offer them to their furry customers, too! That being said, they aren't the healthiest for dogs either.

♥ There has been no Milk-Bone recall. Milk-Bone's origins stretch back more than 100 years. The dog treats were first made in New York City in 1908 at the F.H. Bennett Biscuit Company. The company needed a larger manufacturing facility and moved to Buffalo, New York, in 1957 and still operates there today.

Many veterinarians recommend rawhide chews to help with your dog's dental health with a few cautions. However, some vets are very much opposed to the practice of giving these treats to dogs, citing cases where pieces of rawhide became lodged in the throat or intestines of dogs.

How often should they be fed? To ensure dogs are getting the best results possible with Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews®, pet parents should feed one treat per day to their dogs.
