24 hours A quality super glue, such as Loctite Super Glue Liquid Professional (20g bottle), dries and sets in seconds. For full bond strength, the parts should be left undisturbed for at least 10 minutes. The glue will be fully cured in 24 hours. Super glue bottles can dry out quickly once opened.

Loctite 248, a medium strength Threadlocker Stick, can be used under water. It is in a lipstick type dispenser. Apply the 248 to clean dry threads out of the water and make sure the wax based product is pushed into all of the threads with no air gaps before taking the fastener below the water.
