What is JUBLIA?

JUBLIA tv commercials

Jublia is a prescription medicine used to treat toenail fungus (onychomycosis). This medication comes in the form of a topical solution that is applied directly to the affected toenail(s). Jublia contains an antifungal medication called efinaconazole, which works by stopping the growth of the fungus that causes toenail infections.

To use Jublia, first, ensure that the affected toenail(s) are clean and dry. Using the brush applicator provided with the medication, apply a thin layer of the solution over the entire surface of the affected toenail(s) and the surrounding skin. Allow the solution to dry for approximately 10 minutes before putting on socks and/or shoes.

It is important to continue using Jublia for the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms begin to improve before the end of the treatment period. This is because toenail fungus can be difficult to completely eliminate and is known to recur if not treated effectively.

While Jublia is generally well tolerated, common side effects may include skin irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Less common side effects may include blistering, oozing, or swelling of the skin. If you experience any severe or concerning side effects while using Jublia, stop the medication and talk to your doctor immediately.

Overall, Jublia can be an effective treatment option for toenail fungus when used as directed by a healthcare professional. If you are experiencing symptoms of toenail fungus, talk to your doctor to see if Jublia may be right for you.
