The Tour Response is manufactured by Foremost in Taiwan, though it should be pointed out that TaylorMade has made a significant investment in Foremost and has access to dedicated production lines which, in theory, offer them greater control over the manufacturing process.

soft Tour Response – Performance and Feel As urethane-covered balls go, the Tour Response qualifies as soft (TaylorMade puts the compression around 70) and, while it remains true that soft is slow, at moderate swing speeds over-compression of a soft core shouldn't be much of a concern.

Titleist Pro V1 - Compression On our gauges, the Titleist Pro V1 has a compression of 87. While that's three points softer than we measured the previous version, across the market as a whole, it's still solidly within the firm category (though it is a bit on the softer side for a ball played on Tour).
