Disney's Castaway Cay, or simply Castaway Cay (/ˈkiː/), is a private island in the Bahamas which serves as an exclusive port for the Disney Cruise Line ships. It is located near Great Abaco Island and was formerly known as Gorda Cay.

Splash "Splash" (1984), a smart and genuinely funny comedy, was a critical and commercial success that instantly resonated with audiences. The movie was filmed in multiple locations, but the famous scene where Madison (Daryl Hannah) meets Allen (Tom Hanks) was filmed along the beach of what's now known as Castaway Cay.

Food is included on your Castaway Cay day Meals are included on the ship on your Disney Cruise Line vacation, and food is also included on your day at Castaway Cay.

Around 100 Disney Cast Members live on Castaway Cay all year round, while more commute by boat from the nearby island of Abaco. Cast Members who live on the island include landscapers and maintenance workers. The people who live on Castaway Cay live in prefabricated dormitory-style houses.

You will use your Key to the World card for any purchases made on the island as cash is not accepted at Castaway Cay. Be certain you don't go back to the ship without stopping by one of the two gift shops on the island where you can find exclusive Castaway Cay merchandise!

After snorkeling for about 90 minutes, you'll receive a complimentary beverage and snack onboard or on a nearby sandbar close to a fishing village near Castaway Cay. There aren't restrooms on board.

You'll see Characters around the ship, in stage shows and during kids' activities in our youth clubs. And if one of your ports of call is Castaway Cay, you'll have a chance to meet Disney Characters during an onshore Dance Party.

My wife and I are both strong swimmers, and we've always found the waters at Castaway Cay to be very calm and accommodating (when the weather isn't super windy, that is), which makes sense as there's a large breakwater protecting all of the swimming areas of the island!

There are also some Port Adventures on Castaway Cay as well as other activities that come with a fee. You can rent equipment for fun activities such as bikes, snorkel equipment, or aqua trikes for a nominal fee. You can also book some activities for a fee. On our last cruise, my daughter and I went parasailing.
