1. Kohinoor- Priceless. The most expensive diamond in the world, the Kohinoor has been given a priceless status due to its uniqueness and brilliance. The diamond is 105.6 carats and is placed right on top of the UK sovereign's crown.

A Natural Diamond has a rarity factor. Generally speaking, a natural diamond will hold its value better than a lab grown diamond because there is a finite supply. The basic laws of supply and demand maintain that as demand increases, especially with limited supply, value goes up.

Essentially, synthetic diamonds are real diamonds. But, unlike natural diamonds, they are formed above ground by artificial means. Please note that our tests will not identify lab-created diamonds. Most lab-grown or created diamonds include a tiny inscription identifying them as lab-grown for this reason.

Diamonds are known for their extreme hardness, unmatched brilliance, and rich sentimental value. They are made of nearly 100% carbon atoms and are so durable that the only other mineral that can scratch a diamond's surface is another diamond.

The easiest way to explain diamond clarity ratings is to list them out from best to worst at 10x magnification:

• FL: Flawless (No inclusions or blemishes, even at 10x magnification)
• IF: Internally flawless.
• VVS1 – VVS2: Very very slightly included.
• VS1 – VS2: Very slightly included.
• SI1 – SI2: Slightly included.

Kohinoor Diamond Kohinoor, often written Koh-i-Nur, is the most expensive diamond in the world. The diamond, also known as the Mountain of Light diamond, weighs an incredible 105.6 carats and is one of the largest cut diamonds ever discovered. The colorless Kohinoor diamond has an oval brilliant cut.

So, while many people consider natural diamonds to be the “real” diamonds, both lab grown and earth made diamonds are both real diamonds made of tightly packed carbon atoms. They both have the same chemical and optical properties, making them stunning gems for any jewelry style.
