In time for Black Music Month, Nas, Rakim, Latto, and GloRilla take it back to hip-hop's early days in a new Sprite commercial. The television spot shows all four rappers both quoting and rhyming over 1979 Sugarhill Gang classic “Rapper's Delight,” which is heralded as a hip-hop staple.

The soft drink commercial, dubbed “Icon's Delight,” features a mix of hip-hop figures from across the music's history, delivering a new song based on the Sugarhill Gang's classic “Rapper's Delight.” In it, GloRilla trades verses with legendary New York MCs Rakim and Nas and fellow newcomer, Atlanta rapper Latto.

Sprite Boy was the first image associated with the Coca-Cola brand. He was created to solve what company execs considered a big problem -- they were not happy that consumers had started referring to Coca-Cola as Coke.

Sprite has partnered with OTT platforms Amazon Prime Video and Voot, for the campaign. In addition to this, the film features actors Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, and Divyendu Sharma.

The commercial, titled 'The Thirstiest Time of the Year,' sees professional basketball player Lebron James using Sprite Cranberry to help cool down a family suffering from the blistering heat inside their home. In the background, a remix parody version of the song 'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year' is playing.

Ikaris Sprite desires to return to the Eternals home planet where she will no longer be treated like a child, so when Ikaris' betrayal is revealed she ultimately sides with Ikaris (whom she has long been in love with) against the other Eternals to ensure the birth of the Celestial Tiamut, thus completing their true mission.
