The New Crispy Chicken Wraps at KFC The new menu items include the Classic Chicken Wrap, which is an Extra Crispy Tender, pickles, and mayo in a warm flour tortilla, and the Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap, which is an Extra Crispy Tender, coleslaw, spicy sauce, and pickles in a warm flour tortilla.

What about the new KFC Chicken Wraps? The new wraps, tested in Atlanta last year, became available at participating locations nationwide on Feb. 6.

Much like its sister brand, Taco Bell, KFC is using nostalgia hype for now-defunct menu items to ramp up customer engagement. Unlike the Mexican Pizza, however, which returned with its classic recipe, the new KFC wraps are a different product from the Chicken Twister that disappeared from menus nearly a decade ago.

Customers can order two wraps for $5 plus tax in-store, online or via the KFC app, according to the release. For nearly $8, fans can make it a combo complete with fries and a drink. KFC fans had long called for the return of the restaurant's classic wraps.

The revamped version, called simply “Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps,” comes in three options: a classic chicken wrap, a macaroni and cheese wrap that combines a chicken tender with its popular side dish, and a wrap that combines a chicken tender with coleslaw. Each item costs $3.

In fact, eating leftover fried chicken cold or even room temperature is safe as long as it hasn't spent more than two hours in the "danger zone," which is the USDA's term for temperatures between 40°F and 140°F, when bacteria grow fastest.

Available Monday to Friday, customers can choose from five different wraps - and each day, one of the five different flavours is KFC's wrap of the day.

A spin on the previously popular KFC Twister Wrap will soon be available at the chicken giant. In 2014, KFC retired the Twister Wrap and while they aren't bringing it back, something similar will be available starting Monday, Feb. 6.
