Totino is survived by two daughters, Joanne Elwell and Bonnie Brenny, both of Fridley, Minn., as well as nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary DelVecchio of Las Vegas, and brothers Earl and Louis Cruciani of Minneapolis.

They were created in Duluth, Minnesota, United States, by food industry entrepreneur Jeno Paulucci, who specialized in canned and frozen Chinese food. Jeno's began using the Pizza Rolls trademark in 1967. In 1985, Paulucci sold Jeno's to Pillsbury, which owned Totino's pizza.

Totino's was acquired by Pillsbury in 1975, after the company had been searching for a way to enter the frozen food category. Totino's provided the perfect solution. General Mills acquired Totino's through the acquisition of Pillsbury in 2001.
