Seven weeks after the complaints began, Daily Harvest issued a recall on the product that caused side effects including nausea, vomiting, and liver damage due to the ingredient tara flour, according to NPR.

They concluded that “adverse events” reported by people who had consumed the Daily Harvest crumbles originated from the tara flour ingredient. Tara flour was not used in any other Daily Harvest products, but tara protein was used in Revive Superfoods Mango and Pineapple smoothies.
