The group's goal is to end a curse on Jumanji, brought about by corrupt archaeologist Professor Van Pelt after he stole a magical jewel called the "Jaguar's Eye" and gained control of the jungle's animals. They must return the jewel to the shrine and call out "Jumanji!" to lift the curse and leave the game.

All the actors (Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Jonathan Hyde, Kirsten Dunst and David Allan Grier) give great performances and their characters are all endearing. In fact, this is one of the movies I would never get tired of re-watching, because it's so entertaining and funny.
