Honda is recalling certain 2019–2021 Talon side-by-sides for potential engine failure. According to the company, a band clamp on the vehicle's intake can work loose, then fall into the engine causing catastrophic damage. The recall covers 34,000 units, including two- and four-seat models.

Honda offers the 2023 Talon 1000 FOX Live Valve in two two-seat versions and two four-seat iterations. All four of these sport side-by-sides are designed with off-road excitement, precision and quality in mind, and all share Honda's 999cc parallel-twin engine.

The RZR boasts more ground clearance, horsepower, accessories, suspension travel, and technology from the start. However, in terms of cost and comfort, the Honda Talon 1000R is the clear winner.

The Talon 1000R-4 starts at $25,799. That's about the same price as the base Polaris RZR XP 4 and the Can Am Maverick X3 four-seater. You'll get more power with the latter but the dual-clutch transmission makes the Talon much easier to drive.
